A university student’s disgraceful art experiment left out one important variable: resistance from a determined American Legionnaire.
Susan Crane, a 40-year-old education major at the University of Maine at Farmington, displayed a series of U.S. Flags on the floor of a student center hallway on campus April 15.
“My purpose was to figure out how people felt about the flag and (I) gave them a choice to walk around it,” she said.

I am proud to say I served on the Hanna from 1966 to 1970. I was in G Division and was an aviation ordanceman. I have a question - I think it was in 1967 (but could be wrong on the year). We went to general quarters because we were under attack from vietnamese gun boats or small ships. We were never hit, and my recollection is that the captain came over the one - MC and said the boats were sunk by planes from the USS Ranger. Does anyone remember that experience? If so, please respond on this site or on my web site -tbsybrant@aol.com.
